Staycation ( 2 Timothy 1:7)

We had a staycation this past week.  It’s hard to go far when you have a baby calf that takes a bottle twice a day.  We have been able to drop off the morning bottle.  She is eating cow manna really well.  Hopefully by the time her girlfriends arrive she will be eating like a big girl with them.  We had planned to stay at the farm for 4 nights and then a hotel in Spring Hill for 3 nights.   The 4 nights in that old farmhouse (Friday thru Monday night)...with the kids....was a unique experience.  The kids did NOT want to sleep in the house, but Paul and I insisted that we would be fine and they would be in the same room as us. We got out the air mattresses and blew them all up.  We played several games of Uno and then a t t e m p t e d to go to sleep.  I never knew my child flipped and flopped so much through out the night.  The noise the air mattress made each time she moved, which was every 30 seconds, is indescribable!!  It’s a s...

Slower weekend..(Pslam 40:1-2)

Where to begin.....(Proverbs 11:17)

School wrapped up at 6:30 pm on May 21st.  Paul was waiting for me in Tennessee.  Talk about a busy weekend, holiday and 5th anniversary.  We had so much to accomplish that weekend.  While Paul was waiting on me to arrive in Tennessee, he went to Tractor Supply to pick up a few things we needed for our weekend projects.  Ol' Red let him down.  He was sputtering and stalling as he pulled into the parking lot.  Paul said a teenager came over and ask if he could help.  Between him and the teenager they thought it was leaking power steering fluid, not oil.  The teenager said, "I will give you my phone number and if you have any trouble getting home you can give me a call and I will come and help you."  Wow!!  Paul said he should have taken the number so he could tell the parents what a nice young man they had raised!  Paul made it back home, still sputtering and stalling.  He is going to take Ol'Red in for a tune up soon. ...
